The O.C. Tanner Amphitheater is an impressive outdoor amphitheater that is a part of Dixie State University. Each year, they present a summer concert series full of incredible guests and shows. Each show offers concertgoers the chance to see a performance that will delight and excite.

While the shows at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater are lovely, another reason to visit the venue is for the amphitheater itself. The amphitheater is set against the gorgeous red rocks that Utah is known for. This not only provides a terrific acoustic quality, but also a stunning aesthetic quality. One look at O.C. Each year, the shows presented change. For the 2017 Concert Series, O.C. Tanner Amphitheater will be presenting everything from rock music to beautiful symphonies. Throughout the concert series, there will be a show for everyone to enjoy.

This concert series begins in June and concludes in September. Each month, there are multiple shows at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater and each one is just as good as the next. Guests will immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while enjoying an incredible show.

ROCK FEST featuring THE NATIONAL PARKS with special guest MANY MILES
The National Parks, an electronic folk pop band, are the definition of eclectic. Their first album, titled Young, made it to number thirteen on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart when it was released. Their unique blend of vocals and instrumentals set them apart from any other group on the circuit.
Joining The National Parks will be the incredible band Many Miles. Their music is too unique and distinct to put into words. The way they bring together rock, soul, jazz, and other genres makes them a local favorite. They are sure to put on an outstanding show.

SANCTUARY: THE STORY OF ZION
Sam Payne, Ryan Tilby, Drew and Lacey Williams, and Nic Chamberlain come together to celebrate the unique story of Zion. This musical masterpiece showcases the many different aspects of Zion’s history that have made it the lovely destination that it is today. This show will inspire and educate the audience as it transports them on a journey through time.

COLLIN RAYE
Collin Raye, a country music icon of the nineties, will be gracing the O.C. Tanner stage with his incredible voice for this year’s concert series. He has been nominated for best male vocalist ten times, has sixteen number one hits, and twenty-four top ten records. His incredibly soulful voice connects with audiences, leaving them captivated throughout the entire show.

NATHAN PACHECO with THE LYCEUM ORCHESTRA
Nathan Pacheco is a classically trained singer with an unforgettable tenor voice. His strong and passionate vocals move audiences in a way other singers cannot. He will be joined by The Lyceum Orchestra, a group of young musicians with outstanding talent. Some of the artists Pacheco will sample from include Aaron Copland, Ennio Morricone, Rossini, Puccini, and many others. This moving concert will take the audience’s breath away, so be sure not to miss out.

UTAH SYMPHONY
This collection of eighty-five full-time musicians is known around the world for their amazing talent and beautiful sound. Their history of making incredible music dates to 1940, meaning the Utah Symphony has been delighting crowds for many years. The O.C. Tanner stage is lucky to be hosting the Utah Symphony for one of the nearly two hundred shows they perform each season. This concert is guaranteed to be an event the whole family will enjoy.

ZION MATRIX “LOVE IS THE ANSWER” featuring AYKANNA, supporting Girls on the Run
This fantastic show is put on to benefit the Southern Utah Council of Girls on the Run, a non-profit program that focuses on helping pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles. To support this worthy cause, Zion Matrix has an action-packed day full of amazing visual and auditory masterpieces. World renowned music artist Aykanna and band will delight the audience with their soothing, soulful sound. Aerial silk dancers will twirl at astonishing heights with the red rocks of Zion as their background. Gongs and drums will beat into the soul of every audience member. This unforgettable part of the concert series will leave every guest with the understanding that ‘Love is the Answer’ to all of life’s problems.

September 29 and 30, 2017
ZION CANYON MUSIC FESTIVAL
The new location for the Zion Canyon Music Festival will be at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater for the 2017 season. This is the ninth annual music festival, and it is sure to be a memorable one. The music presented at the festival will include the funk-rock group Groovement, the reggae and hip-hop mashup of El Dub, Southern Utah natives The Reals, country outlaw Raven Cain, DJ Lex, and much more. This eclectic mix of music genres is sure to please everyone in the crowd.

There will also be food vendors, arts and crafts, activities for the kids, and a beer and wine garden. The huge variety of things to do at this exciting music festival is the perfect way to spend a few days with the entire family.
