Angels Landing Closed

Zion National Park officials announced that the popular trail Angels Landing will be closed Tuesday August 20th and Wednesday August 21st. The trail closure will allow park officials to replace a number of posts that support the chained section of the trail.

The trail will be officially closed at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and is expected to open back up by 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 22nd once the posts have fully cured.

During the trail project access to Scout Lookout and the West Rim Trail will remain open for hikers.

Additionally, Sunday, Aug. 25, entrance fees to Zion National Park and all other national parks and monuments will be waived in celebration of the National Park Service’s 103rd birthday. Visitors should note that the fee waiver includes entrance fees only. Other fees such as reservation, outside parking fees, camping, tours, concessions and fees collected by third parties are not included.
